A Speech Language Pathology Assistant assists licensed speech language pathologists in treating people with speech and language or other communication disorders or swallowing disorders. Assists with screening and helps patients with therapy activities. Works with adults or children and helps to treat a variety of speech disorders or communication problems created by stroke or injury.

Job Description
Candidate should be willing to start with 14 visits per week and perform at least 25 visits per week. Position pays $32 -$34 per session and sessions are 30 minutes, W-2 paid or 1099. Supervised sessions pay more and pay will increase as more patients are added if 30-35 visits are done. Applicant must possess a valid bachelor's degree, a current Tx speech pathology assistant license, a valid driver's license and car insurance with a reliable car. Position involves pediatric home health speech therapy so applicant must be able to work in a home environment with a variety of speech and language disorders to include verbal and nonverbal clients and a willingness to learn assistive technology if necessary. Patients are grouped together to reduce driving time and patients are seen during the day. After school remote hours available. Applicant must also possess great therapy skills, communication skills, and be able to document services and be willing to see after school kids. Additional requirements include CPR training and professional liability insurance. Most clients are currently in the Spring and Tomball area. No after school hours unless telehealth or in person is requested.
