Duration:
13 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire) (BI02) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician•Sterile Processing with a minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience . In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and quality assurance of surgical instruments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable of
ANSI/AAMI
standards , and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and infection prevention. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices. Perform quality inspections to ensure instrument cleanliness, functionality, and tray accuracy. Operate washer-disinfectors, autoclaves, and other sterilization equipment. Identify, document, and report damaged or missing instruments while maintaining accurate processing records. Adhere to
ANSI/AAMI
standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), infection prevention protocols, and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain inventory levels, ensure equipment is functioning properly, and keep work areas clean and organized. Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely availability of sterile instruments for patient care. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing experience . Current CRCST, CIS, or equivalent Sterile Processing certification required. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization processes, and infection prevention practices. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and effective communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience working in a hospital or surgical services environment. Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulatory compliance in sterile processing.
