Central Sterile Reprocessing Technician Trinity Health Livonia Hospital | Livonia, MI Full-Time - Nights Trinity Health Livonia Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Central Sterile Reprocessing Technician to support safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and distributed throughout the hospital. This role is critical to maintaining surgical readiness and supporting successful patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to industry and regulatory standards. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment while maintaining accurate documentation and quality control records. Build and prepare case carts based on surgical schedules and physician preference cards. Inspect instrumentation for cleanliness, functionality, and damage, coordinating repairs when necessary. Manage instrument tracking systems and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Collaborate closely with Operating Room staff to ensure instruments and supplies are available for scheduled procedures. Transport sterile supplies and equipment throughout the hospital and support emergency equipment readiness. Adhere to AORN, Joint Commission, OSHA, and AAMI standards, as well as Trinity Health policies and infection prevention practices. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Sterile Processing Technician certification preferred. Two years of Central Sterile Processing or Operating Room experience preferred. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization methods, decontamination procedures, and aseptic techniques. Basic computer skills and the ability to work with electronic tracking and hospital information systems. Why Join Trinity Health Livonia?
