Sterilization Processing Tech

Full-Time, Monday

•Friday 8am

•4:30pm.

Location:

Clinical setting in Minneapolis, MN (East Bank)

Pay Rate :

Up to 33$/hr depending on experience!

Job Responsibilities:

Collects used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination. Cleans instruments and supplies, removing contaminants and waste to ensure items are free of foreign matter prior to sterilization. Operates and maintains decontamination equipment, and perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, labeling and sterilization of instruments and supplies. Assemble instrument sets and trays accurately, and prepare, pack and deliver sterilization equipment needed for clinical procedures. Operate sterilizers safely and document sterilization loads and processes according to established standards. Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain records related to sterilization procedures. Follow infection control, safety standards, and department protocols, and respond to urgent requests with accuracy and efficiency. Additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

At least 1-2 years of recent experience in handling and sterilization processing of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation. Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification as a Central Processing Tech (CSCRT) is strongly preferred! Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions. Proficient with computer systems along with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.
