40 hours weekly Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to support the safe and efficient decontamination, sterilization, preparation, and distribution of surgical instruments and sterile supplies. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, wrap, label, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment. Operate and monitor cleaning and sterilization equipment while maintaining accurate processing records. Perform biological monitoring and follow established protocols for sterilization failures. Maintain aseptic techniques and a clean, safe environment within the Sterile Processing Department. Support distribution of processed equipment and supplies and assist with Endoscopy reprocessing as needed. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs, and departmental procedures. Basic computer and arithmetic skills. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. One year of related healthcare experience preferred. Central Sterile coursework preferred. CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification required/preferred as applicable. Sterile Processing certification preferred.
