Job Description

FT Surgical Technology Instructor Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
Is a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency Possess the NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential Has a minimum total of five years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten years. Possess a minimum of an associate's degree in any discipline required, concentration in surgical technology preferred; baccalaureate degree or higher in any discipline recommended; •baccalaureate may be required based on individual institution accreditation standards Has documented education or experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design and program planning. Documented expertise in academic subject area as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications and/or résumés. Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills. Ability to provide effective direction and leadership, and work effectively and collaboratively with others. Prior postsecondary-related teaching experience is highly desired but not required
