Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role in surgical care, working alongside a highly skilled team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This contract position needs experienced professionals with backgrounds in operating room technology—including certified or non-certified surgical technologists—and robust trauma, neuro, ortho, general, and vascular surgery exposure.

Schedule:

12-hour night shifts Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30 p.m. start

What We're Looking For:

Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a high-acuity OR environment (no travelers with only 1 year) Proficient in trauma (no burns), neuro, general, vascular, ENT, gyn, urology, plastics, breasts, and robotic surgeries (General and Neuro, Mazor/DaVinci XI preferred) Advanced skills in endovascular cases a plus (AAA, carotids, AVG, AVF, Fem-Fem bypass, aorta bi-fem) Certification preferred, but not required Effective team player with the ability to communicate clearly and work under pressure Comfortable with Cerner EMR, Omnicell, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Spacelabs monitors

Key Duties:

Scrub and assist surgeons during a variety of trauma, neuro, vascular, and general procedures Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields Work closely with ORAs, desk assistants, first assistants, charge nurses, and service line leaders Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and patient safety standards Participate in orientation (2 weeks, day shift, buddy call included) Fulfill on-call duties as assigned (excluding open heart cases) Support weekend, holiday, and rotation requirements per contract
