We set the benchmark for high-acuity procedures in an outpatient setting nationwide. Our commitment to pioneering medical advancements is showcased through our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery centers and full-service clinics. DISC Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist for our Thousand Oaks location. This location specializes in orthopedic, spinal and pain management procedures. This position will have a daytime shift, Tuesdays - Thursdays. In this position, you will: Assists with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures. Assist with skin preparations and with draping of patients Assists with care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care of sterile and un-sterile supplies and equipment. Removes drapes at the end of the procedure, cleanses the patients of prep solution, and applies dressing as needed. Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle count with the circulating nurse. Assists with stocking, replenishing, and preparation of supplies. Checks updated schedule every morning and prepares room supplies and equipment. Back up materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants. To ensure success in this role, you should be a: Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technician Program. Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification
Pay Range:
$30.00 - $45.00/hour
