1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room position supporting a wide range of surgical specialties. Details Hospital Operating Room unit (Unit 701) 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 3 days per week Rotating weekend call every four weeks, used to fill evening/night staffing gaps Monday through Thursday and evenly distributed among the team Typical call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours, with total work and call hours generally capped at 60 per week Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including burn, dental, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, neuro, open heart, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, psychiatry, robotics, trauma, and urology Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience required Certified Surgical Technologist credential required State license required if applicable Active license required with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start BLS certification accepted from AHA or ARC No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for a variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties Assist surgical teams with procedures ranging from routine to highly complex, including trauma and open heart surgeries Support high acuity patients, including burn and trauma cases requiring wound debridement, skin grafting, and dressing changes Participate in surgical site verification, time-out procedures, and instrument/sponge counts Maintain infection control standards and a safe operating room environment Candidates must start on or after October 26, 2026 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered One professional reference required for most states, with Florida and Missouri requiring two references
