Surgical Technician

Centrasota Oral Surgeons has an immediate full-time opening (Monday-Friday) for a Surgical Technician in our Alexandria office. We are looking for a team member with excellent skills in communication, organization and the ability to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced work environment. No nights, holidays, weekends or call!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares treatment room for surgical procedures. Preoperative preparation of patient as necessary for procedure. Prepare patients for IV injections, including monitoring and recording all medications as directed by the surgeons. Directly assists surgeons during surgical procedures, including suctioning, patient monitoring and airway management during sedation as directed by surgeons. Communicate any changes in patient condition and all pertinent preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative information to the surgeons. Monitor and assess patients after surgery and sedation. Provide discharge instructions to patients and caregivers. Assist in sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments prior to surgical cases. Work in post-operative recovery room on a rotating basis. Assist surgeon in postoperative follow-up appointments. Make appointments for patients as needed. Do triage calls to patients when necessary. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING

High School Graduate Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program BLS Certified, willing to become
