Overview:
Sentara is seeking a dedicated OB Technician to join our Labor and Delivery team. Bring your passion for women's health and patient care to a team that values compassion, skill, and teamwork. Full-Time 7p-7a As an OB Tech, you'll collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team to ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive birthing experience. You'll provide both technical and patient care support in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum settings—helping our patients feel cared for every step of the way. Education Nursing diploma OR Surgical Technologist diploma Certification/Licensure Licensed Practical Nurse OR Certified Surgical Technologist Experience 1 year of relevant experience
What You'll Do:
Assist with labor and delivery procedures and provide technical support to the clinical team. Prepare, set up, and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for deliveries and C-sections. Support patients and families with compassion and professionalism. Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient care at all times. Work collaboratively with nurses and providers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care. Assist with patient admissions, vital signs, and general unit duties as needed. .
