The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures across a variety of specialties, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through precise preparation, sterilization, and assistance during surgeries. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques, with experience in trauma, cardiovascular, neurosurgery, and pediatric surgeries.
Shift:
4x10 (10:30-21:00) 2 years of experience required Travel experience requiredCertifications:

Day 4x10-Hour (10:30 - 21:00) Level 1 Trauma Center. Heavy Ortho, General, Urology. We also do many Vascular, Robotic and Neuro cases and some eyes (every kind of specialty except hearts and transplants).Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments and supplies according to procedural requirements Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical equipment Monitor and record vital signs and patient physiological data throughout surgeries Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital policies to prevent healthcare-associated infections Support the collection of data related to surgical procedures for quality improvement and documentation purposes Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper sterilization and maintenance Assist with treatment of fractures, trauma care, and complex orthopedic or endoscopic surgeries as needed Ensure accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia, nursing, and physicians to optimize patient care Participate in ongoing training to stay current with advances in surgical technology and techniques Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program; current certification required Proven experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgery Experience assisting in cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, or endoscopy is highly desirable Proficiency with hospital information systems such as Epic or other EMR/EHR platforms Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, infection prevention practices, and healthcare safety standards Ability to perform suturing and treatment of fractures with precision Critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex situations quickly Excellent patient care skills combined with effective communication abilities Knowledge of medical equipment operation and sterilization procedures Prior ICU or acute care experience is advantageous Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are a plus This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise directly impacts patient recovery and safety.
