  DESCRIPTION Under supervision, performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols.

Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices. Recognizes normal and pathological conditions and modifies the exam accordingly to ensure complete and accurate high quality information is obtained. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure excellent image quality. Trouble shoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues. Participates in performance improvement projects within the department. Floats within department as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with an emphasis in Vascular Technology. RVT by the ARDMS or RVS by the CCI. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience. Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated strong computer skills.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime, as needed.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range:

$154,596

• $154,596 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
