What You Will do in this
Role:
Report to workstation on time and as scheduled and remains at workstation until relieved for lunch or end of shift. Position patients and adjust equipment for each procedure. Instruct patients regarding procedures. Follow prescribed safety standards. Maintain examination rooms. Follow confidentiality standards. Scrub uniforms, clean and pressed, will be worn at all times when on duty unless otherwise directed by the Clinic Administrator Complete all necessary forms for each study conducted and coordinates each study with the requesting physician or in their absence, follows instructions on the request form/transmission and checks each order against the physician's order prior to beginning the exam. Follow Lubbock Heart Hospital policies for time and attendance recording. Participate in quality improvement and quality control projects as assigned. Follow departmental policies and protocols for each exam performed. Maintain licensure and/or certification(s) for all modalities assigned. Report any mechanical or system problems to the Director or Clinic Administrator. Demonstrate initiative in their work habits while maintaining a professional demeanor with all hospital staff, guests, visitors, patients and physicians. Be aware of incident occurrences within their work area and reports within twenty-four (24) hours to their supervisor using the proper form(s). Handles patient complaints in accordance with Lubbock Heart Hospital policy.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Successful completion of an accredited course for national and/or state registry. RDMS or RDCS registration is required for performing general ultrasound and echocardiograms without the direct supervision of a registered technologist. RVT is required to perform vascular studies without the direct supervision of a registered technologist. Maintains current BLS certification.

We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms.
