Overnight ER Associate Veterinarian Insight Veterinary Wellness Center | El Dorado Hills, CA At Insight Veterinary Wellness Center, we believe pets and people deserve better care. We're looking for an Overnight ER Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative emergency team in El Dorado Hills. You'll have the autonomy to manage complex cases, the equipment to support confident clinical decisions and opportunities to put your surgical skills into practice, supported by experienced RVTs, veterinary assistants and a cohesive nursing team. Our ER doctors provide care from initial presentation through diagnostics, treatment, surgery and inpatient management. What you can expect at
Insight:
A consistent, structured overnight schedule , working three 12-hour shifts, 8 pm-8 am, with a predictable rotation that helps you plan life outside work. The opportunity to practice comprehensive emergency medicine , managing outpatient emergencies, critical patients and complex inpatient cases. A strong surgical caseload , with opportunities to perform emergency procedures and surgery alongside diagnostic workups and ongoing treatment. Tools that advance the standard of care , including two fully equipped operating rooms, digital radiology, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, LigaSure and cautery. Resources that support a broad range of care , including a dedicated dental suite, PRP and Cellfie regenerative therapies, underwater treadmill rehabilitation and a community blood bank. An experienced clinical support team , with RVTs, veterinary assistants and nursing colleagues working together to support patient care and hospital flow. What Better Care means for you: $225,000 to $250,000 base salary plus uncapped production bonus with no negative accrual Sign-on bonus and relocation support for qualified candidates $2,000 annual CE allowance plus 40 hours of paid CE time 401(k) with 100% company match up to 4% Medical, dental, and vision insurance FSA and HSA options Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays Pet care discounts Life, AD&D, and disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Uniform allowance Opportunities for continued clinical and professional growth The right fit: A DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification, with a California veterinary license or eligibility for licensure. Ideally, two or more years of clinical experience, with emergency or urgent care experience preferred. Confidence in emergency case management, surgery and procedural interventions. Sound clinical judgment, including recognizing when to seek support. Clear, compassionate communication with clients and colleagues. A collaborative approach and the ability to provide calm clinical leadership overnight. An interest in exotics would be welcome, although it is not essential.
