Apply veterinary internal medicine principles to diagnose and treat conditions such as cardiology, oncology, and critical care cases. Handle exotic animals and provide specialized medical care tailored to their unique physiological needs. Maintain detailed records of veterinary procedures, treatments, and findings in accordance with clinical ethical guidelines. Assist in emergency medicine situations, providing critical care for animals requiring immediate attention. Collaborate with clients by communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, and care instructions clearly and professionally. Support laboratory testing procedures, including sample collection and analysis for diagnostic purposes. Ensure animal handling practices prioritize safety, comfort, and humane treatment across all interactions. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous professional development. Requirements Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensing or certification as an Official Veterinarian. Extensive veterinary experience across multiple disciplines including general surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and emergency care. Proficiency in animal restraint techniques, anesthesia administration (including general anesthesia), and surgical procedures. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory diagnostics. Demonstrated expertise in exotic animal medicine and equine experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with clinical ethical guidelines governing veterinary practice. Excellent animal handling skills for dogs, cats, exotic species, and large animals such as horses. Ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds while maintaining professionalism. Experience with pet grooming, animal catheterization, aseptic technique, and laboratory procedures is advantageous.
