Job Overview ChafinVet is seeking a compassionate and skilled extended hours Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for veterinary medicine and possess the expertise to provide high-quality medical care during a wide range of urgent and wellness situations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with staff and pet owners, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Shift is after our day practice hours from 5pm -10pm, Mon-Fri (but open to other schedules, days off and Flex scheduling). Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals in wellness, emergent and urgent situations and treat promptly. Develop and implement treatment plans, including administering medications, and performing surgeries as necessary. Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, progress, and follow-up care. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff in delivering high-quality care. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Valid veterinary license in the state of practice. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. A commitment to providing compassionate care.
