Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector works closely with the implant team in a cleanroom environment to ensure that components, assemblies, and received materials meet defined quality, appearance, and performance standards. This role performs first piece, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with control and quality plans, reviews and approves final release documentation, and completes required quality records in line with company policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. Responsibilities Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies according to established control and quality plans. Inspect injection molded parts to verify quality, appearance, and performance criteria are met. Inspect assemblies to ensure they conform to quality, appearance, and performance specifications. Inspect received materials to confirm they meet required quality, appearance, and performance standards. Inspect and audit final product documentation prior to release to ensure completeness and accuracy. Determine root causes for defects and communicate findings to appropriate team members. Read and interpret quality control plans, blueprints, and customer drawings to understand inspection requirements. Measure parts dimensionally using precision testing equipment, including Tool Scope, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Optical Gaging Products (OGP), microscopes, and other metrology tools. Use hand tools and machine devices for dimensional inspection and verification. Communicate inspection results clearly and promptly with production and quality team members. Manage multiple inspection requirements and deadlines in support of production needs. Quickly shift inspection priorities based on changing production demands. Complete and maintain accurate quality records in compliance with company procedures and GMP guidelines. Follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training requirements. Support a cleanroom environment by adhering to cleanliness and contamination control practices. Essential Skills Basic knowledge of inspection equipment and its proper use. Ability to read and comprehend customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience with measuring instruments, methods, and practices, including hand tools and machine devices such as CMM and vision systems. Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Mechanical aptitude with strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation. Effective communication skills to share inspection results with team members. Ability to manage multiple requirements and deadlines and to shift priorities quickly. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with precision testing equipment such as Tool Scope, CMM, OGP, microscopes, and other metrology tools. Familiarity with inspection of injection molded parts and assemblies. Ability to determine reasons for defects and contribute to problem solving. Strong problem-solving skills to support continuous improvement of product quality. Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and following related protocols. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean medical manufacturing environment, with assembly areas and several presses located in Class 7 and Class 8 cleanrooms. The facility is modern and well maintained, featuring a newer building and a comfortable break room. Work involves using precision measurement tools, microscopes, and vision systems in a controlled cleanroom setting, following strict cleanliness and documentation practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
