Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator works in a clean, controlled medical manufacturing environment, focusing on the precise inspection and packaging of small medical device components. This role involves high-volume, repetitive tasks that require strong attention to detail, accurate counting, and consistent documentation to support product quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Inspect small medical device components for quality and defects throughout the shift. Sort and process approximately 2,500 pieces per shift while maintaining accuracy and pace. Use tweezers to handle very small components and place them individually into packaging as needed. Count components carefully to ensure accurate quantities in each package. Package inspected components for shipment according to established procedures. Maintain focus and consistency while performing repetitive tasks for extended periods. Work comfortably with very small parts and be able to look through a microscope for long periods if required. Follow written work instructions and document all work performed in accordance with medical facility standards. Support assembly activities as needed, assisting with medical assembly tasks when requested. Keep the work area clean and organized, following all cleanliness and facility protocols. Remain open to learning and potentially running production machines on the manufacturing floor. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding work status, issues, and documentation. Essential Skills At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong attention to detail when inspecting and packaging small components. Ability to work comfortably with very small parts, including using tweezers for handling. Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy. Good work history demonstrating reliability and a positive attitude. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong reading comprehension skills to follow written procedures and instructions. Ability to accurately document work performed in a medical manufacturing environment. Willingness to assist with assembly tasks as needed. Openness to potentially running machines on the production floor. Additional Skills & Qualifications 6+ months of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous experience in medical assembly or packaging is beneficial. Comfort working in a controlled, cleanroom-style or medical production environment. Ability to maintain productivity targets while preserving quality standards. Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train in different production areas over time. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in an extremely clean, controlled medical production facility focused on assembly and packaging of medical device components. The work is repetitive and requires comfort handling very small parts, sometimes with tweezers and potentially under a microscope for extended periods. Employees typically begin in the assembly and packaging area for training and may be cross-trained into additional functions once fully onboarded. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to documented procedures, with a production-floor setting that may include exposure to manufacturing machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
