$18 - $20 About Chaparral Country Club Chaparral Country Club is a private country club located in the beautiful Coachella Valley in Palm Desert, California. Our Golf Operations team is committed to providing an exceptional golf experience and outstanding service to our members and their guests. We are seeking friendly, dependable, and service-oriented individuals to join our Outside Services Team . This position is an important part of the member experience and works closely with the Golf Professional Staff, Golf Shop, and Grounds Department. Position Summary The Outside Services Staff member is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to members and guests before, during, and after their round of golf. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a positive attitude, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced golf environment. Previous golf or country club experience is preferred but not required . We are willing to train the right candidate. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Assist members and guests with golf bags, golf carts, and equipment. Stage and prepare golf carts for daily play. Maintain an organized and clean golf cart staging area. Clean and maintain golf carts and other outside-service equipment. Provide directions and information regarding the golf course, practice facilities, and club amenities. Assist with the daily setup and closing of the golf operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the golf area. Monitor and maintain the golf cart fleet, reporting any mechanical or maintenance issues to management. Assist with tournament and special-event setup and operations. Help maintain the driving range and practice areas as directed. Work closely with the Golf Professional Staff to ensure an efficient flow of daily play. Provide exceptional service to members and their guests while maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude. Follow all club policies, safety procedures, and golf operations standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional or management. Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Friendly, positive, and professional personality. Dependable and punctual. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely lift and move golf bags and equipment. Must be comfortable working around golf carts and moving vehicles. Previous golf course, country club, hospitality, or customer-service experience is a plus. Knowledge of golf and familiarity with golf equipment is preferred but not required. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing and walking, working outdoors, bending, lifting, and moving golf bags and equipment. Candidates must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with outside golf operations. Schedule Outside Services schedules may include early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays , depending on the club's golf schedule and member activity.
