Job Description
Tennis Pro Shop AttendantThe Suburban Club — Pikesville, Maryland Part-Time | Tuesday & Wednesday Afternoons/Evenings + Saturday & Sunday Afternoons/Evenings The Suburban Club is seeking a friendly, dependable, and tennis-minded individual to join our Racquets Department as a Tennis Pro Shop Attendant . This is an excellent opportunity for a high school or college student looking for after-school/weekend work, or for someone looking for a few consistent part-time shifts to supplement their income. The position is primarily customer-service focused and involves helping create a welcoming, organized experience for our tennis members and guests.
Responsibilities include:
Checking in members and guests for scheduled court times Answering questions about tennis programming, lessons, clinics, leagues, and events Assisting customers with tennis merchandise and equipment purchases Learning basic knowledge of tennis racquets, strings, grips, balls, and other equipment Operating the pro shop point-of-sale system and handling transactions Keeping the pro shop clean, organized, and well-stocked Occasionally assisting with basic court maintenance, including sweeping or squeegeeing courts and using a leaf blower to clear debris Providing friendly and professional customer service to our members and guests Helping the Racquets Department with other basic operational needs as they arise What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, personable, comfortable interacting with people, and has an interest in tennis . Previous tennis experience is strongly preferred, but you do not need to be a tennis professional or equipment expert. You should be comfortable answering basic tennis-related questions or be willing and able to learn quickly. We are looking for someone who can consistently work the following shifts: Tuesday afternoon/evening Wednesday afternoon/evening Saturday afternoon/evening Sunday afternoon/evening Applicants do not necessarily need to be available for every shift, but consistent availability for multiple shifts is strongly preferred .
