Job Description

Muir's Tea Room is looking for a talented, experienced part-time baker to join our small baking team in Sebastopol. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys baking and takes pride in creating beautiful, consistent artisan products. Located in a historic Queen Anne Victorian on Main Street, Muir's Tea Room offers an English and Scottish-inspired high tea, bakery, retail shop, and wholesale bakery program. We are a certified vegan bakery known for beautiful, creative baked goods with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and presentation. Our bakers produce a wide variety of items including cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pies, pastries, scones, specialty breads, savory pastries, chocolates, and gluten-free items. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys both production baking and more detailed, creative pastry work. We are looking for someone who is creative , efficient, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively. We value respectful communication, teamwork, and leaving the kitchen clean and ready for the next shift.
Responsibilities and qualifications include:
Professional or commercial baking experience preferred Strong ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently Experience with pastry dough, cakes, cookies, pies, scones, chocolate, and other baked goods Ability to complete production lists efficiently within scheduled hours Excellent attention to quality, consistency, and presentation Clean and organized work habits — we clean as we go Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing production needs Experience with commercial mixers, ovens, and bakery equipment Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds and safely handle full baking trays and larger batches Wholesale or high-volume production experience is a plus Chocolate production experience is a plus Vegan baking experience is helpful but not required Experience with low or no sugar products is also a plus
Schedule:
Part-time, morning, daytime or evening shifts. Flexibility is available depending on availability and business needs.

Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 20.0 per week
