63 (hourly) Depending on Experience Length of Work Year 260 Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the CBO, this role independently coordinates and processes payroll, employee benefits, leaves, taxes, and related fiscal functions. As an integral member of the district's HR-Business Services team, this role requires high accuracy, strict confidentiality, and independent judgment with minimal supervision on routine matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Processing:
- Performs all duties relative to processing the District's monthly regular, supplemental, and manual payrolls for certificated, classified, management, confidential, temporary, probationary, and substitute personnel, which includes using Frontline ERP, Frontline Central, and Frontline Absence Management softwares
- Researches discrepancies in and routinely audits payroll information and/or documentation (ex.
timesheets, leave time, staff absence reports, unemployment eligibility, extra-duty stipends, benefits withholdings, direct deposit requirements, approved Workers' Compensation, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and adherence to procedures prior to processing
Retirement System Reporting:
- Coordinates and manages reporting requirements for CalSTRS and CalPERS, ensuring accurate enrollment and contribution tracking
Benefits Administration:
- Partner with 3rd Party Administrators (including RESIG, CalPERS, and American Fidelity) to provide all employees with their relevant Health & Welfare benefits/open enrollment information
- Processes monthly voluntary deductions, IRS 125 Plan changes, Workers' Compensation payments, and related reports
Human Resources Customer Service:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for district employees regarding pay policies, payroll, tax, and benefits information and inquiries
- Communicates complex payroll and benefits details clearly and professionally with strong attention to detail
