Employee discounts, Training & Development Opportunities Position Summary We are a brand new upscale bakery cafe that is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking individuals to join our cake team. This position is responsible for preparing, decorating, assembling, packaging, and maintaining the presentation of cakes and desserts while ensuring all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are met. This position requires strong attention to detail, creativity, and organization. Our ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can work early morning shifts, and takes pride in creating exceptional products for our guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Opening Responsibilities Arrive on time and prepare the cake station before store opening. Set up workstations with necessary ingredients, tools, and supplies. Prepare display cases with cakes and desserts before customer arrival. Verify all products are properly labeled and priced. Conduct opening cleanliness and safety inspections. Cake Production & Decoration Assemble, decorate, and finish cakes according to Paris Baguette standards. Apply icing, frosting, whipped cream, fondant, and decorative toppings. Write personalized messages on cakes neatly and accurately. Decorate specialty cakes for holidays, events, and custom orders. Prepare cake fillings, frostings, mousses, and other ingredients as directed. Slice, layer, fill, and finish cakes to company specifications. Ensure consistency in appearance, taste, and presentation. Product Preparation Assist with preparation of bakery items and desserts. Portion and package cakes and desserts for display and customer orders. Rotate products using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedures. Monitor freshness and remove products that do not meet quality standards. Maintain accurate production quantities and inventory levels. Collaborate with front-of-house team members to fulfill orders accurately. Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all company food safety policies and local health regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout each shift. Wash, sanitize, and store equipment properly. Monitor ingredient freshness and report quality concerns. Properly store products at required temperatures. Follow personal hygiene and food handling procedures at all times. Inventory & Receiving Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying product quantities Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation. Notify management of low inventory levels. Organize refrigeration units, freezers, and storage areas. Receive and properly store deliveries. Minimize waste through proper handling and production practices. Teamwork Communicate effectively with managers and team members. Respond positively to direction, coaching, and feedback. Support team goals and maintain a positive work environment. Assist with special orders and holiday production as required. Qualifications Previous bakery, food service, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to work full time early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units. Schedule Full-Time Early morning opening shifts required Weekends and holidays as business needs dictate Benefits
