Evening Baker's Assistant Hudson Baking Co - 1.0 Kuna, ID Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $15 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Food production Teamwork Food hygiene Attention to detail Time management Full Job Description About the Role We are looking for a passionate Baker's Assistant to join our artisan sourdough bakery. This role is responsible for producing our long-fermented, naturally leavened breads from start to finish with consistency, care, and respect for traditional methods. This position is hands-on, physical, and detail-driven. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, understands fermentation, and thrives in an early-morning, fast-paced production environment. Core Responsibilities Dough Production Maintain starter health and proper fermentation schedules Scale ingredients accurately and adjust hydration as needed Fermentation & Handling Monitor bulk fermentation, temperature, and timing Perform folds, dividing, pre-shaping, and shaping with consistency Understand visual and tactile cues for properly developed dough Production Flow Follow daily production schedule Communicate clearly Quality Control Maintain high standards for flavor, structure, and appearance Identify fermentation or dough issues early and problem-solve Ensure all product reflects our artisan and long-fermentation values Cleanliness & Organization Maintain a clean and organized bench and mixing area Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Properly store ingredients and label doughs Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working on your feet for 8+ hours Able to work early evenings Comfortable working in warm, fast-paced kitchen environments Qualifications Required Strong time management and self-direction Attention to detail and consistency Preferred Understanding of sourdough fermentation Experience with high-hydration doughs Knowledge of flour types and grain differences What We Value We are more than a bakery.
