• Opportunities for advancement (85% of managers started as entry level) Tandem is hiring a full time Baker . A qualified applicant will have at least 1 year of commercial bakery experience
• culinary school is a bonus but not a substitute or requirement. The position is 5 days a week, one weekend day required, starting at 6am for 40 hours per week. Pay starts at $19, based on experience. You should have experience and be comfortable with the following:
• mixing cake and cookie batters from scratch
• mixing and baking yeasted breads
• recipes primarily based on weights, not volume
• maintaining a high standard of consistency and quality in a large volume of baked goods
• standing for 8-10 hours a day
• lifting 50 lb at a time
• working cleanly, efficiently and safely
