Job Summary Join our sweet small business bakery team as a barista, where you'll play a key role in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for our customers. We are hiring for a closer and a baking position. We expect our staff to deliver exceptional quality while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient bakery environment. The closing position is mainly a front of house position with light baking duties. Duties Assist customers with product selections, answer questions about baked goods, and provide friendly service to enhance their shopping experience Prepare and assemble baked items, including cakes & pastries, following established recipes and quality standards Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques to create visually appealing designs that delight customers Package baked goods carefully to maintain freshness and presentation during handling and transportation Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area by cleaning work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly in accordance with food safety standards Support food production tasks such as mixing ingredients, portioning dough or batter, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all food handling regulations Barista and serve on Front of house when needed Requirements Previous experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts is highly preferred Strong skills in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen safety practices Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and work efficiently in a busy environment Experience with food industry standards including catering or restaurant environments is a plus. Basic knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques such as baking or cooking are desirable Passion for people & baking with a keen eye for detail in food presentation and decoration.
