Job Description

What Salt & Straw Production Bakers DoFollow recipe specifications provided by the R D team and execute batches according to the daily production scheduleTake ownership of assigned daily projects including ingredient organization, workflow execution, and project completionAccurately measure, portion, and weigh ingredientsOperate baking equipment and follow recipe instructions to ensure proper timing, baking, and product qualityAdhere to GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling proceduresIdentify and troubleshoot basic production issues while escalating concerns appropriatelyComplete ingredient tracking sheets, work orders, and required production documentation accuratelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while assisting with End-of-Day production tasksDemonstrate basic techniques and provide guidance to junior team members as neededAccurately enter production completion data and quantities into NetSuiteWhat You ll
GetEveryday Pay:
Optional access to earned wages before payday for added financial flexibility.

Monday - Friday work schedule. 4, 10 hour days per week.401(k) with
Company Match:
Eligible after 3 months of service, with automatic enrollment and a 50% company match on deferrals, up to 1% of pay.
Paid Time Off:
Accrues starting at approximately 2 weeks per year, increasing with tenure.
Sick Leave:
Forty hours provided after 30 days of employment plus ongoing accrual based on hours worked.
Paid Holidays:
Twelve paid holidays annually.

This Role Might Be Right If You:
Have at least 1 year of experience working in commercial food preparation - non restaurant/bakery and must be commercial food (non negotiable)Have a minimum of 6 months baking experience. Non commercial/small/local bakery experience okayHave strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise recipes and instructionsHave strong counting and math skills for accurate measuring, scaling, and portioningAre able to work efficiently and stay organized within a fast-paced production environmentCommunicate clearly and work collaboratively across Bake, Spin, and Production teamsCan uphold high standards of food safety, sanitation, product quality, and efficiencyAre comfortable operating a variety of commercial kitchen and baking equipmentCan follow detailed recipe specifications and production proceduresAre reliable, consistent, and comfortable working around food allergens and within refrigerated/freezer environmentsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMeet the minimum qualifcations and interested in joining our team?
