The successful candidate will prepare high-quality coffee and specialty beverages, welcome guests, take orders, process payments, maintain a clean coffee bar, and support smooth daily café operations. The ideal candidate enjoys coffee and hospitality and works well in a fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently Prepare espresso, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to café standards Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment safely Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion standards Answer guest questions about coffee, beverages, menu items, and available options Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other payments accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming coffee bar and service area Clean and sanitize espresso machines, grinders, utensils, counters, and workstations Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, food items, and other café supplies Assist with basic food preparation and pastry service as needed Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Monitor supplies and communicate low-stock items to management Support fellow team members during busy service periods Assist with opening, closing, and daily café cleaning procedures Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner Perform additional duties assigned by café management Requirements Previous barista, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required Basic knowledge of coffee and espresso beverage preparation Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment Good attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures Basic POS and cash-handling experience is a plus Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive compensation Flexible scheduling options On-the-job barista and coffee training Supportive and team-oriented work environment Employee coffee or café discount opportunities may be available Opportunities for professional growth and advancement About the Company Project Bloom Coffee is focused on creating a welcoming coffee shop environment through quality coffee, carefully prepared beverages, friendly hospitality, and efficient service.
