Our coffee shop is very busy , and we are looking for someone who can thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while still delivering warm, attentive service. As a Barista, you will create handcrafted beverages, provide exceptional guest interactions, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Westin brand's commitment to wellness and exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages to brand standards. Accurately handle guest orders using the Micros POS system . Provide menu knowledge and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee shop area, including equipment, counters, and display cases. Set up, stock, and maintain the display of pastries, grab-and-go items, and snacks for sale. Deliver friendly, personalized service and engage with guests to create a welcoming environment. Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and room charge transactions, following all cash-handling procedures. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing the outlet. Qualifications Previous barista or coffee shop experience preferred; hospitality or customer service background a plus. Ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation is desirable. Strong guest service and communication skills with a positive, energetic attitude. Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure. Basic math skills for handling transactions. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Flexibility to work early mornings and daytime shifts between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM . Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required. Hours of Operation Our coffee shop operates daily from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM . Scheduling will vary within this window, with opening shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM and closing shifts ending by 4:00 PM. Why Join Us?
