Overview Join our vibrant team as a Gelato Server and Barista, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused attitude will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this lively role, you'll craft delicious gelato treats, serve expertly brewed coffee and beverages, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment. Your energy and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and customer engagement while working in a fun, dynamic setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of gelato flavors, coffee drinks, and other beverages with precision and flair Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food handling and preparation tasks Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using retail math skills and basic math proficiency Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods Promote sales by engaging with customers, upselling products, and creating a welcoming environment Requirements Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions accurately Experience in food service or café environments is desirable but not mandatory Reliable team player with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to creating delightful treats while honing your skills in the food industry.
