Barista Join Our Opening Team Turtle Cove Gourmet Market, part of Windward Restaurant Concepts, is preparing to open in Vero Beach, and we are looking for a friendly, energetic Barista to join our opening team. Turtle Cove Gourmet Market will offer exceptional coffee, fresh food, specialty beverages, and a thoughtfully curated selection of gourmet products, all with a strong focus on genuine hospitality and the guest experience. Position Summary The Barista plays an important role in creating the Turtle Cove guest experience. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, fresh juices, smoothies, and other specialty beverages while providing warm, attentive service. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every guest. Key Responsibilities Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, fresh juices, smoothies, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and quality standards Provide warm, attentive, and efficient service while creating a welcoming experience for every guest Develop strong knowledge of beverages, ingredients, and menu offerings and make recommendations based on guest preferences Operate the POS system and accurately process cash, credit card, gift card, loyalty, and other transactions Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and sanitary coffee bar and café area Properly clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, juicing equipment, and other café tools Assist with pastries, grab-and-go items, café products, stocking, and product rotation as needed Follow established food safety, sanitation, hygiene, opening, and closing procedures Work collaboratively with fellow Baristas, Cashiers, kitchen staff, and Market team members, particularly during high-volume periods Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Qualifications Previous barista, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred Knowledge of coffee, espresso, and specialty beverage preparation preferred Strong communication skills with a genuine guest-service focus Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable operating a POS system and handling transactions accurately Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Preferred Qualifications Barista or coffee training/certification Experience preparing fresh juices, smoothies, or other specialty beverages Food safety certification Experience in an upscale café, gourmet market, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment Compensation & Benefits $19.00 per hour Full-time, 40 hours per week Benefits include: Paid time off 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Why Join Windward Restaurant Concepts?
