NOTE:
Ability to work until 7:30 PM, W, F, S & S As a Barista Shift Supervisor, you are tasked with preparing and serving a variety of handcrafted hot and cold beverages to awaken and empower our guests and to ensure their legendary cafe' experience. As a brand advocate, educating guests on our drink, food, & pastry menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, and taking orders, a successful Barista Shift Supervisor leads the team by example while always putting our guests first. Duties/Responsibilities Holding team members accountable for following proper food/beverage safety protocols Arriving on time Leading by example through what you say and do when it comes to going above and beyond for our guests, from running food/drinks when necessary to answering their questions and addressing their concerns. Treating guests with respect and kindness and finding ways to elevate the overall guest experience. Replenishing items as needed such as coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, and merchandising retail products. Running transactions using our point-of-sale system (POS) and providing correct change to guests so that your drawer is in balance. Flexing your coffee and pastry skills to help other team members succeed. Upholding company policies and procedures as approved by the leadership team. Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus. Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software. Food handlers' card and liquor license (when applicable). Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to waist height. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. above your head. Ability to work a flexible work schedule and meet business demands, including weekends and holidays. Capability to stand on your feet for a shift of 8 hours or more at one time. Cash handling experience. Team Member Perks Be a part of a growing collective of local specialty coffee brands.
