Whether you're serving up expertly brewed coffee or guiding customers through our curated book selection, your energy will help build a lively community hub. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards and food safety guidelines Assist customers in selecting books and merchandise, providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience Operate POS system to process drink and retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage preparation stations, and seating areas, ensuring a hygienic environment at all times Manage cash handling duties by processing cash transactions Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a friendly atmosphere Support inventory management by restocking supplies, organizing shelves, and assisting with product displays Skills Food Handlers Certification must be obtained by employee prior to first working day. Strong math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing sales totals confidently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse patrons Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining quality standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and cleanliness standards Join us in creating an inviting space where great coffee meets great books!
