Job Summary We're on the lookout for an energetic and friendly Barista to join our team. In this role, you'll be the face of our café, crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing top-notch customer service. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks using espresso machines and other equipment, ensuring each beverage meets our standards. Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and deliver friendly service that makes everyone feel at home. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments with accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices. Assist in food preparation by serving baked goods and light snacks when needed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality. Support the team in inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages or issues promptly. Requirements Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS helps streamline transactions. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude. Good basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and POS operations. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts smoothly.
