Job Overview We are looking for a versatile and energetic individual to join our team as a Barista and Server or a Kitchen Prep/Baker. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, and baked goods with attention to quality and presentation. Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, process cash transactions, and handle retail sales transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and proper sanitation practices. Assist in food preparation tasks, including baking and basic kitchen prep work to support the culinary team. Provide friendly and attentive customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a positive experience. Support beverage service by ensuring timely drink preparation and serving beverages to customers in a courteous manner. Follow food safety standards and health regulations to ensure safe food handling and hygiene practices at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and processing transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety procedures, beverage preparation, and food handling standards. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking across different responsibilities. Experience with coffee making or barista duties is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
