Position Summary The Full-Time Barista is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience through friendly service, expertly crafted beverages, and a clean, welcoming café. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with regular guests, working as part of a close-knit team, and taking pride in every drink and interaction. While coffee is at the heart of what we do, hospitality comes first. We're looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, and committed to creating memorable experiences for every customer who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Guest Experience Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and enthusiasm. Learn regular customers' names and favorite drinks. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on coffee, food, and seasonal offerings. Resolve customer concerns professionally and positively. Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return. Beverage Preparation Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to La Finca recipes and quality standards. Maintain consistency in drink preparation and presentation. Ensure beverages are prepared quickly without sacrificing quality. Monitor beverage quality throughout each shift. Food Service Warm and plate café food items. Serve pastries and grab-and-go offerings. Restock food displays and monitor freshness. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Café Operations Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process transactions. Open and close the café following established procedures. Keep the café, dining area, and workstations clean and organized. Restock cups, syrups, coffee beans, retail merchandise, and supplies. Assist with inventory counts and communicate supply needs. Teamwork Work collaboratively with fellow baristas, kitchen staff, and café leadership. Support teammates during busy rushes. Help train new team members as experience grows. Maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude throughout every shift. Qualifications Previous barista, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Passion for coffee and hospitality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn and receive coaching. Positive attitude and team-first mindset. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 35 pounds. Frequently bend, reach, and carry supplies. Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment. Schedule Full-time position (approximately 35-40 hours per week). Availability for mornings, weekends, and some holidays is required. Consistent scheduling with opportunities for additional hours.
