Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering exceptional service. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer interaction will enhance the overall experience for our guests, ensuring they leave with a smile. Starting at 10-12$/hr (plus tips) depending on experience and responsibilities. Weekend availability and drive-thru experience are a plus. Must have reliable transportation and be able to be on your feet for the whole shift. Operating hours 6 am-4 pm Mon-Fri and 8am-2pm on Saturday (Closed Sunday). Opportunites for more hours if interested in also working at our other business, Fogue and Bates Cigars as a sales associate. (Please DO NOT schedule interview if you do not plan to come to the interview.) Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately using the Square POS system. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee supplies and food items, reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other during busy periods. Stay informed about menu items and promotions to effectively engage customers in sales opportunities. Experience Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred but not required. (Plus if you have previous Drive-thru experience) Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food safety practices is a plus. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory are essential. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems like Square POS is advantageous.
