Job Description
Overview Join our café team as a Barista/Guest Service Associate, where your energy and passion for exceptional customer experiences will shine! In this role, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes guests, creates delicious coffee and tea beverages, and ensures every visitor leaves with a smile. Your enthusiasm for food and beverage service, combined with excellent communication skills, will create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while having fun with your team! Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, beverages, and light food items efficiently and with precision and care. Greet guests warmly, taking orders accurately using POS system. Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and handling. Will need Texas Food Handlers certificate. Provide outstanding service by addressing guest inquiries, making recommendations, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Support food industry best practices by adhering to food safety protocols and food handling procedures. Requirements Prior experience as a barista or in drive thru/food service is highly preferred; coffee experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and personality and clear communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing. Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper serving practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be looking for long term employment and growth. We are not hiring seasonal help at this time. Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one.
