We're looking for friendly, dependable people who enjoy coffee, matcha, food, hospitality, and creating a place people genuinely want to spend time in. You do not need to be a coffee expert. Experience is great, but personality, reliability, willingness to learn, and how you treat people matter more to us. What You'll Do Prepare espresso drinks, matcha, specialty drinks, and other beverages Prepare food items, including assembling and making sandwiches Follow our recipes, portioning, food-handling, and presentation standards Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service Operate the POS and handle customer orders Wash dishes, utensils, food-prep equipment, and café tools Keep the bar, food-prep area, café, and service areas clean and organized Restock cups, ingredients, pastries, food, and other supplies Help with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café responsibilities Help create the atmosphere and experience we want Ortaya to be known for Work together with a small opening team as we grow This is a hands-on café position. Everyone on the team will help with drinks, food preparation, cleaning, dishes, restocking, and keeping the café running smoothly. About Ortaya Ortaya is a new coffee and matcha shop opening inside one of Downtown McKinney Square's historic bank buildings. We're creating a gathering place centered around specialty coffee, ceremonial matcha, pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and a comfortable atmosphere—all inside a building with a lot of McKinney history. Since this is our opening team, you'll be joining from the beginning and helping shape what Ortaya becomes.
