Position Title:

Barista (PartTime).

Location:

Houston, Texas.

Compensation:

$10.00/hour + tips. Black Rock Coffee Bar seeks a passionate, customerfocused Barista to craft highquality beverages, provide exceptional service, and help build meaningful connections within the community. Baristas play a key role in creating memorable experiences, supporting store operations, and contributing to a positive and engaging atmosphere.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

Warmly welcome customers and team members. Maintain service speed while ensuring quality beverages. Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, coffeeless beverages, and food items. Maintain clean, organized work and customer areas; follow health and safety standards. Promote new offerings and seasonal specials. Handle cash/credit transactions accurately; assist with deposits when required. Support onboarding by mentoring new team members. Complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks assigned by leadership. Address and resolve customer complaints professionally. Assist with inventory and restocking. Conduct linebusting during peak periods. Work independently with minimal supervision. Follow all Black Rock Coffee Bar policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment. Excellent customer service skills; friendly and outgoing personality. Ability to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, varied shifts). Selfmotivated and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing/walking for up to 8 hours. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crawling. Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. Use of ladders or ramps as needed. Frequent wrist/spine movement for beverage prep. Clear vision for orders/customer interaction. Ability to perform mental math accurately.
