As a Barista at Broad Porch , you'll prepare handcrafted beverages, provide outstanding customer service, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient café. Baristas are at the heart of the guest experience, ensuring every drink meets our standards for quality and consistency. This position reports to the Owners and Managers and receives day-to-day direction from Managers and Shift Leaders. Compensation increases are based on performance, reliability, and experience. Qualifications Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Coffee knowledge or previous café experience is preferred but not required—we provide comprehensive training. Ability to operate café equipment, including espresso machines, brewers, grinders, scales, and other preparation tools. Ability to accurately follow recipes and procedures using weight and volume measurements. Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and serve all coffee and espresso beverages according to Broad Porch standards. Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu and confidently answer customer questions. Prioritize drink tickets to ensure timely, accurate service. Set up, stock, maintain, and clean the espresso bar throughout each shift. Monitor beverage quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed. Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team regarding ticket times and customer needs. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the café. Contribute to a welcoming, positive atmosphere for both guests and teammates.
