The bar is located in the lobby of the hotel. Opportunity to create and sell drink specials based on upcoming events. Must be available evenings from 4-10pm. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote sales of beverages and related offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Process card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including handling credit cards, and other payment methods. Develop beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to enhance the guest experience while staying current with industry trends like mixology and brewing. Manage bar inventory levels, restock supplies efficiently, and monitor alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service. Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy periods such as banquets or special events, ensuring seamless guest experiences. Requirements Proven experience in bartending within a hotel, fine dining restaurant, nightclub, or catering environment. Strong knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage recipe development. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts using strong time management skills. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a hospitality setting. Experience with bar management tasks including inventory control, cash handling, and beverage presentation. Basic math skills for accurate cash processing and retail math for inventory management.
