We are recruiting for an On Call Banquet Bartender for the Catering Department at Sun City Palm Desert Community Association. POSITION OVERVIEW

Serve as bartender for the Community Association at Sun City Palm Desert. All venues include Catering, Martini's and Boulevard's. Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our residents and guests. Ensure that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the standards, goals and objectives of the Community Association.

SOME Duties and Responsibilities:

Take beverage orders from residents, guests and servers. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink consistent with the FOH's standard drink recipes. Learn the names and personally recognize our 'regular' customers. Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the POS equipment. Accept cash, resident and guest payments, process resident/credit card charges and make cash change (if applicable). Responsible for bank reconciliation at end of shift. Send glassware to dishwasher room. Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish as needed. Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages and food. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. Sun City Palm Desert Community Association (SCPDCA) is a beautiful, 5000 home, active adult community surrounded by two golf courses, three clubhouses, towering palm trees and gorgeously landscaped grounds.
