Mystique - Bar Back Big Night Entertainment Group - 3.9 Everett, MA Job Details 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication TIPS Food and beverage industry expertise Full Job Description As a Bar Back, a typical day might include the following: Greeting guests with a welcoming smile providing them with fast, friendly service Assisting bartenders in all aspect of the guest experience Assisting guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way Communicating guest needs to bartenders or servers when applicable Cleaning all glassware and bar tools as necessary Keeping work space and general bar area clean Maintaining a well-stocked bar prepared for all levels of service Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to all necessary guidelines Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner Working well with others as you will be working with other bar backs, servers, bartenders and management Other duties as assigned This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications: At least 1 year of direct bar back experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage and/or club environment required Current TIPS Certification is a plus and will be required if offered the position Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check Must have the ability to complete the process for the Massachusetts State Gaming Commission license prior to starting A neat and professional appearance Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members Physical Demands / Work Environment / Hours The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
