Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Day Bartender to join our team at the West Concord Muni! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment during daytime hours, engaging conversation with our regulars, and a keen eye for detail and cleanliness.

SCHEDULE

: Part-Time (12-20 hours per week). Must be available during the day, and occasional evenings, weekends and holidays. Duties Take and serve beverage orders to patrons. Handle retail sales of off-sale, beer, wine and liquor Always greet customers with a smile and whenever possible, by name. Be attentive to customers. Keep the bar and stools neat and clean. Watch for empty glasses and politely ask if they would like another. Always ask before removing an empty glass. Collect money for drinks served. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness in the bar area and through the Liquor Store Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering other transportation for intoxicated patrons. Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws throughout the shift. Control and limit the wasting of inventory and supplies. Follow all prescribed health and safety regulations. Communicate problems and ideas to the management. Attend all scheduled staff meetings. Follow management's instructions and suggestions. Manage daily cleaning of restrooms, doors, cooler doors, popcorn machine, pizza ovens, and all glassware. Cut fruits for garnish and prep for the day, as needed. Adhere to all state and local laws alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis laws and policies of the Liquor Store. Perform any other related duties as assigned. Skills Knowledge of laws related to the sale of liquor and operation of a business. Know/learn all brand name products that are stocked Ability to safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to use judgment and discretion in sales based on age and state of inebriation. Strong working knowledge of POS system especially as to how it interacts with guests. Know how to operate the POS correctly. Know bar prices for popular drinks and monthly specials. Be able to accurately account for every drink poured. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, calculating percentages, etc. Ability to read and comprehend written information (e.g. drivers licenses, credit cards, flyers) and written instructions (e.g. memos, training materials, display instructions, rebate offers, safety warnings, equipment manuals, etc). Ability to work under pressure, with frequent interruptions, and effectively deal with angry, irate, or disgruntled people. Ability to plan and perform duties independently with limited supervision. Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and inventory management are essential.

JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent 19 years old or older with a valid MN Drivers License with no restrictions Strong problem-solving and customer service skills Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations Excellent communication and strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills Must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time and to carry heavy items on occasion Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
