Our barbacks are a huge part of keeping the night running smoothly. When the club is busy and the bartenders are moving nonstop, you're the person making sure they have the ice, liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies they need to keep going. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position for someone who doesn't mind staying busy, working as part of a team, and jumping in wherever they're needed. You don't need years of bar experience. We're much more interested in finding someone who is reliable, works hard, communicates well, and can keep moving when things get busy . If you're interested in getting into bartending or the nightlife industry, this is also a great place to learn how a bar operates. About Martha's Martha's Vineyard is a nightclub and bar in the heart of downtown Springfield, Missouri since 1994. We're known for our drag and burlesque shows, large dance floor, and creating a fun, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. What You'll Be Doing Keep bartenders stocked with ice, liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies throughout the night Restock beer, liquor, coolers, and bar stations as needed Keep bar stations and surrounding areas clean and organized Empty trash and handle other cleaning tasks throughout the night Help bartenders quickly find or restock what they need during busy periods Assist with inventory and stocking Help with end-of-night cleaning and closing duties Communicate with bartenders, managers, and other team members to keep things running smoothly Be friendly and helpful when interacting with guests Jump in and help wherever needed — nightlife doesn't always stick to the plan What We're Looking For Must be at least 21 years old Dependable and able to show up ready to work Comfortable working in a loud, busy nightclub environment Able to stay organized while handling several things at once Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and take direction Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the majority of your shift Able to lift and carry typical bar supplies, cases, ice buckets, trash, and similar items Available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays Previous bar, restaurant, or nightlife experience is a plus, but not required Schedule This is a part-time position, primarily working weekends. Scheduling may vary based on events and business needs. Compensation $7.50 hr + tips Barbacks receive a tip-out based on bar sales, generally ranging from 2%-3% of net sales , depending on the shift and business volume. It's fair to expect, with tips, to make $15-$25 an hour.
