Job Description
Founded in 2009, Black-Eyed Susans is a beach casual restaurant & tavern located in Harvey Cedars opened by chef partners Ashley Pellagrino & Christopher Sanchez. A casual dining concept with a rotating menu of artisan pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh seafood, salads and shareable items. Our food is both highly creative and very approachable. We create menus based on seasonally available ingredients, much of which are sourced from local farms, distributors, and fishermen. We believe that the best food is grown locally and with respect for the environment, so we've spent the past 16 years building relationships with farmers and fishermen who fit the bill! We use many organic ingredients, sustainably caught fish and seafood, and pasture raised meats. Our wines are thoughtfully chosen to provide customers with incredible values. We have a certified level II sommelier on staff who strives to present our guests with unique and delicious wines that accompany our cuisine. Our cocktails are simple and well-executed, utilizing fresh ingredients and thoughtfully selected spirits in order to create delicious drinks to be enjoyed on their own or with our food. What We're Looking For
- Experienced bartenders with strong fundamentals and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a high-touch, guest-forward environment
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
- Ability to execute drinks with consistency, speed, and care
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Professional, polished demeanor aligned with a refined but approachable concept
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to our standards.
- Engage guests with warmth and confidence, guiding them through the menu when needed
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and mise en place throughout service
- Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory, and prep as needed
- Work closely with management and the floor team to deliver seamless service
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a quality-driven restaurant or bar
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
