POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards, serving food when applicable, and creating a welcoming guest experience through friendly, attentive, and professional service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These include, but are not limited to, the following: Follow all applicable company policies and federal, state, and local laws governing the responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Promptly and professionally welcome each guest. Communicate with guests using clear, courteous, and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language. Make guests feel welcomed and appreciated through attentive service. Work as a team with all Legacy Development & Management personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and efficient food and beverage service. Work with team members to keep bar, service, storage, and guest areas clean, stocked, organized, and safe at all times. Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and dining room guests according to approved recipes and service standards. Accurately enter beverage and food orders into the POS system, process payments, and provide correct change or receipts as required. Arrange bottles, glassware, supplies, and displays in accordance with Legacy Development & Management and property standards. Wash, sanitize, polish, and properly store glassware and bar equipment. Perform required opening, closing, and bar preparation duties, including stocking and replenishing supplies. Remain attentive and offer assistance before guests need to request it. Monitor alcohol consumption and guest behavior and follow company procedures and applicable law regarding continued alcohol service, refusal of service, and management notification. Maintain accurate and current guest tabs and follow company procedures for payment authorization and settlement. Anticipate guests' needs, monitor beverages appropriately, recognize guest signals, and acknowledge guests promptly. Build positive guest relationships by providing personalized, professional service while respecting guest privacy and boundaries. Practice responsible alcohol service. Do not serve alcohol to an apparently intoxicated person or otherwise prohibited guest. Promptly involve management when service should be slowed, stopped, or refused, and follow property procedures regarding safe transportation assistance when appropriate. Verify age and identification as required by applicable law and company policy before serving alcoholic beverages. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Two (2) years of bartending, food and beverage, hospitality, or directly related experience preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience preferred. Must possess strong customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent communication skills and interact professionally with management, servers, team members, and guests. Must meet all alcohol-server training, permit, certification, and age requirements applicable to the employee's work location and assigned duties. For New Mexico positions, employees who serve or sell alcoholic beverages must obtain and maintain the alcohol server certification required by New Mexico law. For Washington positions, employees who mix, serve, sell, or supervise the sale of alcohol must obtain and maintain the appropriate Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) permit within the timeframe required by Washington law. Must obtain and maintain any food worker card, food handler credential, or related certification required by the employee's work location and assigned duties. Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register and/or POS system and accurately handle payments and change. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, management, and other employees to perform the essential functions of the position. Additional language skills are a plus. Must have knowledge of workplace safety and sanitation procedures. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, overtime, and special events as business needs require.

The physical demands described below are representative of the physical requirements of the position. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform other movements associated with bar and restaurant service. Requires frequent manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination when handling glassware, bottles, tools, equipment, and POS devices. Includes repetitive hand motions and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate to high. May be exposed to workplace hazards including broken glass, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. May be exposed to heat, cold, wet surfaces, and mild cleaning chemicals.
