You're the heart of our bar — mixing classic and house cocktails, pouring local beers and wines, and making every guest feel like a regular. Whether it's a quiet weeknight by the fire or a busy summer Saturday on the patio, you keep service smooth, warm, and unhurried. What you'll do Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks to recipe and with consistent quality Welcome guests at the bar, offer recommendations, and create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere Set up, stock, and break down the bar; keep your station clean and organized throughout service Check IDs and serve alcohol responsibly in line with NY State law Handle payments accurately through the POS system Support servers with drink orders for the dining room and events Communicate inventory needs to the bar manager What you'll bring 1+ year of bartending experience (resort, restaurant, or high-volume bar a plus) Knowledge of classic cocktails and a genuine interest in beverage A warm, calm presence — even when it gets busy Weekend, holiday, and evening availability Must be 18+ and able to obtain ATAP/responsible alcohol service certification Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations. Collaborate with team members to manage busy shifts smoothly, demonstrating excellent time management skills in a high-energy environment. Assist with event setups such as nightclub nights or banquet functions, providing tailored beverage service for diverse occasions including catering events. Requirements Previous experience working in food service, hospitality, or the food industry is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, along with basic math skills for cash handling and retail math accuracy. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport quickly. Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during busy shifts. Experience in catering or banquet environments is a plus, demonstrating versatility across different service styles.
